Suit or tuxedo? This is a question our team gets asked a LOT, especially lately at the various expos where we have been exhibiting.

The simple answer? It all depends on your theme!

This is determined by whether or not you want to have a – classy – stand-up wedding, or a fun, modern and chic wedding. Another factor is if your fiancé wants to wear the garments again after the wedding or not.

The Tuxedo: A Touch Of Class

The tuxedo is a classic, beautiful, and timeless piece, which has been popular for several chapters of history, and doesn’t seem to leaving its perch any time soon.

A tuxedo is a garment that is adorned with regal trimmings, such as embroideries, grosgrains, prints, and most commonly, silk satin! This trimming is inspired by fashions stemming from the elegant point in history, the Baroque Age. The 17th and 18th centuries were a major turning point in fashion, and used a variety of trims to dress themselves with and appear regal, as clothing is what set apart an individual’s social status.

This is what makes the Tuxedo a perfect piece for a classy, elegant wedding!

The New Suit: For a Modern Look

A suit, quite simply, is the ultimate piece to be owned by a man.

Many men are opting for suits now for their wedding, as it offers them wearability, and class. Wearing a suit for a wedding allows the event to become a bit more casual, and also allow for the groomsmen to wear suits they either already own, or allow for easy rentals.

Plus, there are a huge variety of colors available in suiting, and can be matched with any bridal party and their coloring! Men’s suiting has evolved immensely in the past decade, and there are many, many options in this category!
